Dues Terms of Service
Effective date: May 6, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Dues (the "Service"), operated by Integra Limited ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
- Parents. You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent account.
- Students. You must be at least 13 years old to create your own student account.
- Children under 13. Children under 13 may use the Service only through an account created by their parent or legal guardian, who must provide verifiable parental consent as required by COPPA.
2. Accounts
2.1 Account creation
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account.
2.2 Parent-child connections
Parents may request a connection to a student's account. For students aged 13–17, the student must approve the connection before the parent can view their data. For children under 13, the parent sets up the child's account directly and provides consent.
Either party may disconnect at any time. Disconnecting revokes the parent's access to the student's data going forward but does not delete either account.
2.3 Account limits
A student account may be connected to a maximum of two parent accounts at any time.
3. The Service
3.1 Description
Dues allows students to log assignments, activities, and academic progress, and allows connected parents to view that information.
3.2 Availability
We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or modify the Service for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control.
3.3 Changes to the Service
We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will provide at least 30 days' notice and allow you to export your data.
4. Fees and payment
The Service is currently offered free of charge. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will notify you in advance. Paid features will be clearly identified, and you will not be charged without your affirmative consent.
When paid features are available:
- Subscription fees will be billed monthly through Stripe.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law.
- If your payment method is declined, we may suspend access to paid features until payment is resolved.
5. Your content
5.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service (assignments, activities, notes, and other data). We do not claim ownership of your content.
5.2 License to us
By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, display, and transmit that content solely to provide and improve the Service. This license ends when you delete your content or account, except for copies retained in routine backups (which are deleted within 30 days).
5.3 Prohibited content
You agree not to submit content that:
- Is unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or obscene.
- Infringes any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Contains malware, viruses, or harmful code.
- Impersonates another person or misrepresents your affiliation.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the Service without our written permission.
- Create accounts under false identities or misrepresent a parent-child relationship.
- Use the Service to monitor a student without proper authorization (i.e., without being their parent or legal guardian and without the required approvals).
7. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, our Children's Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understand those policies.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, code, logos, and documentation, is owned by Integra Limited and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without written permission.
9. Termination
9.1 By you
You may delete your account at any time through the Service's settings. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9.2 By us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if required by law. Where possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to export your data before termination.
9.3 Effect of termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive (including sections on intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. We do not verify the accuracy of any academic data entered by users.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Integra Limited and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims related to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US $50.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Integra Limited and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
13. Dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts of Ghana, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice in the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you may delete your account.
15. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Children's Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- Waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision.
- Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights without restriction.
- Notices. We will send notices to the email address associated with your account. You are responsible for keeping that address current.
